Colin Bush passed peacefully away in Basildon Hospital on Sunday evening 23rd of July at the age of 90.

 

Colin was a member of Photofold for many years. He enthusiastically undertook the role of club secretary for nearly 20 years, only stepping down from the position, due to failing health, two years ago. Committee members were happy to attend quarterly meetings in Colin’s dining room as he always supplied plenty of coffee, tea and biscuits.

 

Colin’s wife Anne died in 2016 and, although this was clearly a great loss to him, he retained his independence, continuing to live in his house in Ramsden Heath, pursuing his photography hobby and staying connected with family and friends.

 

He was a keen photographer, entering and winning club competitions, attending many of the monthly trips and helping organise the annual exhibitions.

 

He often stated that it was his ambition to reach the age of one hundred. Unfortunately, this was not to be the case, but he made a bold attempt in achieving 90% of his goal!
