14 members went to RHS Hyde Hall Gardens in Rettendon on the 15th of October.
The former working farm has been maintained as a public display garden by the Royal Horticultural Society since 1993.
The 360-acre site encompasses a range of garden styles, from the Dry Garden with drought resistant plants, to the Hilltop Garden with roses and herbaceous borders. So many opportunities to photograph the autumn colours in the extensive grounds. With two excellent restaurants we enjoyed a coffee when we arrived and met for lunch later.
